Cooling for Ischaemic Stroke: Funding Decision awaited

The EuroHYP-1 investigators have received a favourable preliminary response to our FP7 funding application, and are now in the final stages of negotiation with DG Research about how this hugely important trial can be realised. Further details will appear here shortly.

We are extremely grateful to the researchers, colleagues, patient representatives, SMEs and others who have been with us on the journey so far and have contributed so much to what is shaping up to be a pivotal trial of this highly promising treatment. Special thanks to the European Stroke Organisation, the Stroke Alliance for Europe, ECRIN, and the FP7 National Contact Points who have been so helpful.

Details of the Trial Protocol will shortly be launched on this website. Centres wishing to join the trial should email for further details including contact email for their National Co-ordinator and to be given access to a simple online eligibility questionnaire.

EuroHYP has attracted a great deal of press attention, some of which is given on the Press page.
